Hey! It’s nice to hear from you again! I’m talking to you on this retro phone receiver that plugs into my new smart-phone. It really suits the studio, doesn’t it?
You need a hair appointment? You meant to call me before Christmas did you? Then you got busy at work, then you had a cold and then…now it’s half way through February and your last cut was…I know, before I cut my hair short.

I know it was so long ago because when a straggler someone who hasn’t been in for while surfaces, she’s surprised to see I have really short hair, while regular clients have gotten used to it; I cut my hair pixie-short back when the leaves hadn’t all fallen off the trees/ the clocks hadn’t rolled back/Halloween candy hadn’t disappeared. Winter was the future but now we’re weeks past Groundhog Day and you still haven’t gotten around to your hair on the to-do list.
–It can wait, you say, because people still compliment your hair.
Well, not everyone has a discerning eye. I got compliments today too but when I looked at the back of my head: Ew, it was like a pair of pants sagging in the butt, even though I get my hair cut more often than you regularly.
I hope for the sake of lasting impressions that you make it in before the clocks roll forward in March.
Talk to you soon!

Do you make a fabulous first impression or a make-do impression?
When I asked a client (who books diligently) how the last haircut worked out for her, she said it was fabulous up until a few days ago (she actually used the word fabulous) and she asked me to cut it back to what it was 8 weeks ago because she likes to make great first impressions rather than make-do impressions.
That’s you, right? So don’t put this off any longer.
