hair colour by Shai at Pome

Colour blending is a technique I use to erase the severe line dividing the top and bottom colours of your hair.  The line happens when you’re growing out an all-over colour to go back to your natural root colour.

After blending, the colour appears gradually lighter towards the bottom and makes for a graceful grow-out.

No, this isn’t a reverse before and after. She wanted her natural, brown hair lightened to look like the colour had grown out -as if the sun lightened it last summer.

For summer, I’ve woven caramel-coloured hairbands that complement red or brown hair and are eye-catching on blonde or black hair.

They also enhance brown skin and bronzed or tanned complexions.

The hairband page has more details.

Not twins. This is the second time I’ve cut it all off for her. She donates her hair for wigs, to help people with cancer.

Before, she was a brunette, and now she is a sunny blonde.

By the way, her original songs sound like a soundtrack to a classic Hollywood film.

    Listen to Jill Barber.
